Legacy Teachers GuruMar - GuruTer
This section starts with Kundalini Yoga Master Teacher Gurumarka Singh Khalsa and ends with Guru Terath Kaur.
(By Country and State)
Legacy Teachers are all of those early students of Yogi Bhajan who sat at his feet, who were personally chiseled by him, and who deliver his teachings today. Until recently, this crusty group of greying middle-agers and senior citizens was affectionately referred to as "the old-timers."
Maybe they're not so old. Didn't the Master tell us that age is measured by flexibility of the spine? Many of the so-called old timers have very flexible spines. These early pioneers of our Dharma were sent by Yogi Bhajan to teach Kundalini Yoga all over the world. They opened ashrams, led spiritual communities, and inspired people through their lifestyle and their devotion to Yogiji's teachings. They stood the test of time and the test of the fire of the Master's personal touch.

Guru Prem Kaur Khalsa NM
Sardarni Sahiba Guru Prem Kaur Khalsa discovered Yogi Bhajan's yoga classes on Melrose Avenue in 1971 through Baba Singh, my Kundalini Yoga teacher at UCLA's Experimental College. KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher. SS Guru Prem Kaur has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for over 25 years.
In the eighties Guru Prem Kaur ran the Khalsa Montessori Daycare in Los Angeles, engaged with Rainbow Family folks, spiritual song groups, drumming circles and Saturday night Sufi dancing spreading Guru's Light, and gave classes in Gatka and Gurmukhi.
She attended Punjabi Sikh Council meetings in San Diego, where she designed misal and summer camp programs for Punjabi families and shared yoga classes with a group of Punjabi women in their homes. She also learned Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu at the UW, to better understand the Siri Guru Granth Sahib.
In the nineties Guru Prem Kaur gave Sahaj healing workshops in the San Diego area as learned from Guru Singh, and shared Kiatsu--Kahuna Healing techniques, learned from a Kahuna mentor. She gave Children's Yoga classes, Rise and Shine yoga, Gurmukhi and Gatka through Yoga West in Los Angeles and a series of Sacred Meditation retreats for women. On being blessed with the Golden Temple meditation in prayer for a friend, she began giving Golden Temple workshops from Oregon down to New Mexico to share this miraculous technique.
While living in Oregon she worked with handicapped childern in the public schools, taught Kundalini Yoga at the community college, initiated monthly Community Blessings in the town square and organzied ten workshops on the warrior/saint lifestyle, that were taught by sangat volunteers leading up to Baisakhi.
On moving to Espanola Guru Prem Kaur developed a licensed home daycare farm and created KRI-approved synopses of Yogi Bhajan's classes from mid-1999 through 2003, known as Meditations for the New Millennium. Since then her spiritual work has been to do the powerful meditations and write the book Yogi Bhajan gave her on the deeper yogic meaning of the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, which he said would be contested by 1000 people and come through pure.
Through deep meditation and writing this book—her memoirs coupled with Hukams from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Prem Kaur has come to know that her natural gift is to walk in blessing and reveal how the ten Gurus work through us to serve the New Millennium.
She offers a Healing Ardas as an interactive offering whereby I meditatively call upon the Primal Female Power -- "Pritam Bhagawati," then the Sikh Gurus and Siri Guru Granth Sahib as in a Gurdwara Ardas or prayer. Only a Healing Ardas calls on the ten Gurus to address the specific needs of a personal ten bodies. Sessions may be in person, over the phone or provided as long distance healings.
