For centuries the Borgo was a 'convento' (religious community) and was the center for the families that lived in the valley. It became know as 'Passano', a place of safe passage for pilgrims and travelers. In honor of it's history, the original house has the name 'Ca' dei Frati', 'The House of the Friars'.
Passano accommodates up to 16 people in the pleasing and sunny rooms of the historic tower and farmhouse. Arrangements can also be made for larger groups.
Breakfast is included with accommodations. Lunch and dinner are served by arrangement for groups and individuals. We serve gourmet vegetarian cuisine, incorporating local and organic produce much of which is grown in our own gardens.
Borgo Rurale di Passano is available as a teaching center and is ideal for retreats, workshops and seminars. Teachers and facilitators can book all or part of the Borgo for week, week-end or single day events. We welcome all who wish to teach in a spiritual and peaceful environment, including teachers of yoga, music, art, writing, meditation, and healing.
The beautiful Yoga Room in the Tower has a vaulted stone ceiling and sits on the foundation of the ancient 'convento' (religious house).
